Freight wagon Giu 37448
Freight wagon type G saw the light of day in 1935 and was considered large and spacious at that time.
It was ordered both by SJ and private railway companies in the 1930s and '40s. More than 3,400 were built and they remained in service until the 1980s. This particular wagon was rebuilt with gable doors and with bicycle hooks for bicycle transport and was then given the designation Giu.
Today it is mainly used for transporting prams in our extra trains, or is parked at Fiskeby freight warehouse to show how mixed cargo was handled.
