The first exhibition hall is called FESTEN, where we tell the story of the opening of the railways in the mid-19th century. It is here that we also proudly display the steam locomotive Prins August from 1856. In our venue, you can enjoy an evening meal in a beautiful setting.

Capacity

The venue seats 88 people at nine round tables. If the event is larger than this, an addition 62 people can be seated in our restaurant, which is directly adjacent and up half a flight of stairs. This brings us to a total capacity of 150 seated guests.

Stage, audio and lighting

The venue has a 13 m2 stage as well as a loge, audio and some lighting. The stage is suitable for lectures and speeches as well as music, theatre and other performances. For speeches and lectures, wifi, projector and screen, and audio are available.
For music, theatre and other performances, extra audio and lighting equipment may be required.

Food and drink

The museum has a restaurant with a licence to serve alcohol, Gävle Ångkök.
