Terms and conditions for booking conferences, meetings and evening events.

Ordering food and drinks

Food and drinks can be booked via our catering services provider Gävle Ångkök.

Cancellation

No later than 15 days before the booked visit date.

Booking of the venue can be cancelled at no extra cost. Cancellation is done via our booking department.

No later than 7–14 days before the booked visit date

Booking of the venue can be cancelled with a cancellation fee of half of the contracted amount. Cancellation is done via our booking department.

No later than 6 days before the booked visit date

Booking of the venue can be cancelled with a cancellation fee of the full contracted amount. Cancellation is done via our booking department.

Payment

Payment is made by invoice and is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

Personal data

As the guest, you are responsible for ensuring that the personal data in the order is correct and complete. The Swedish Railway Museum processes personal data in accordance with the policy of the Swedish National Maritime and Transport Museums.

Sustainability

As a government agency, the Swedish National Maritime and Transport Museums are environmentally certified according to the ISO 14001 standard.

Force majeur

In the event of circumstances beyond the Swedish Railway Museum’s control, such as strike, lockout and fire, the museum is entitled to cancel the contract without behind held liable for damages.

Other booking rules

The Swedish Railway Museum reserves the right to refuse a booking if the event is associated with values that are contrary to the agency's core values and/or may harm the agency’s brand.

The Swedish Railway Museum reserves the right to charge for phenomena caused by the guest that cause the museum to incur costs.

Candles in any form are prohibited.

Visitors may not bring alcohol for consumption on the museum grounds.

The consumption of food and drink is only permitted in Hall 1 next to the restaurant. No food or drink is permitted in Halls 2–6.

Packed lunches may be consumed in the museum’s outdoor area and in the Scandiapilen express train in Hall 6.
