Crew carriage WLABo4 2959

The carriage was built as a type Aco4 sleeper carriage in 1934. At that time, it had an interior prepared for 1st, 2nd and 3rd class, meaning it could be made up with one, two or three sleeping berths.

The carriage’s designation was changed to WLABo4 in 1956, and it was called WL11 from 1970 onwards. In 1987, it was taken out of service and converted to serve as a crew carriage for various exhibition trains run by SJ and the Swedish Exhibition Agency before ultimately ending up at the Swedish Railway Museum, where it was restored.

The exterior paintwork and marking is intended to depict that of the 1960s, while the inside has been completely remodelled and modernised. Today, the carriage has four sleeping compartments, a shower and a toilet, as well as a day room and kitchenette.
